Putting a score on a movie, TV show, book or game can be surprisingly hard. Because what does “good” even mean? What is fun? The things my neighbor loves might be the exact things that make me want to crawl out of my own skin. You never know. It is all subjective.
Still, I often like sharing my opinion about the things I watch, play or read, and I usually attach a little score to it. Most of the time it is not exact science. It is more of a gut feeling. A bit of instinct. Fingerspitzengefühl.
I rate everything with stars. From 1 to 5, including half-star steps. Simple, but honest.
⭐ 5 - Favorite. Masterpiece. I could revisit this endlessly.
⭐ 4.5 - Almost perfect.
⭐ 4 - Really good. You should see this.
⭐ 3.5 - Good. Recommended, especially if you like the genre.
⭐ 3 - Totally fine. Entertaining, but not special.
⭐ 2.5 - Barely enough. You think it might get good, but nope.
⭐ 2 - Disappointing. I would not recommend it.
⭐ 1.5 - Still bad, although there was maybe an idea hiding somewhere.
⭐ 1 - Absolutely not recommended. Either I did not finish it, or I regret that I did.
